7/28/2020 0 Comments Celebrity Status: My 2 Cents-Movies and sports have been a form of fellowship and unity for all of us.
(Not so much with sports, but that is just me.) I think that those who choose to be in the public eye, have more of a responsibility to live up to the expectations that that position demands. If you are going to portray an idolizing roll to the masses, then you should be ready to embody (at least to some degree) that respectability for those who begin to look up to you. If you choose to be a raging A-hole or a vile evil being, you should not be allowed to depict yourself as heroic or admirable. Only those who embrace the Qualities of goodness should be in these stations of power. When others see someone with great talent, part of their duty is to remain honest about who they are. It is wrong to let others believe you to be one thing and benefit from it, while being another. This is a lie. A good example is Charlie Sheen. He is a scoundrel but he doesn't seem to keep it a *secret. If you choose to "like" him then you know what you are getting yourself into. *Although Mr. Sheen has been brazen about his degeneracy, I do leave it open that there may be other (worse) things that have been hidden from us.
